Valerie Cusson M.Ed,  has been following the dharma path since 2002. She found clarity, freedom and direction through vipassana meditation and was called to share that peace with others.

She completed Level I Community Facilitator Training with Noah Levine and JoAnna Hardy in 2012 and Level II Facilitator Training with JoAnna Hardy and Vinny Ferraro in 2016. In 2018, Valerie was one of the founders of Big Bear Retreat Center in Big Bear, California. She was an integral part in co-creating the first two retreats held on the land. In 2019, she was honored to be a part of Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leaders training. That same year, she founded a Buddhist Meditation Group which is part of the University of Redlands Community Class series. In her professional life, she works as a high school teacher where she is fortunate to have the ability to teach secular mindfulness and social-emotional skills to populations that have been historically marginalized. She knows, from the fruits of her own practice, that the dharma can be found in every moment and is grateful to be able to share her practice and experience with all who seek ease and connection as they explore the Eightfold Path. She is filled with gratitude for her husband, Tom, for supporting her as she learns and grows in the dharma.
