What is Zen?

What is Zen?

"Zen is understanding yourself." - Zen Master Seung Sahn

Led by Tim Colohan

Zen meditation is “access meditation”. It accesses the moment. With a very simple method we can learn a way of being that connects us intimately to our life and others, not just “on the cushion” but moment to moment in our everyday lives.

No experience necessary! Beginner’s mind, very necessary! Late entry and early exit OK, if you have to. Instruction in seated and walking meditation provided. Exploring “Don’t know mind” and “Mindfulness”. Sitting with a group always strengthens our resolve to “wake up” and help ourselves and this world. Light refreshments provided.

“Meditation, it is not something we do.  It is something we are.” - Zen Master Steve Hagen

Saturday, December 9th, 2017, 9:00am - 12:00pm
